The Lockdown Paintings
The act of wrapping public benches in barrier tape to prevent people from using them, was a common yet unexpected sight in the wake of COVID-19. An international phenomenon, this simple intervention was emblematic of the enforced distancing measures of lockdown, and fitted well with the imagery used in my wider artistic practice. Source photographs were sent to me from all over the UK and beyond, and I made a series of small A4 watercolours, which were brought together in a publication ‘Narbi Price: The Lockdown Paintings.’
