Title: Gender Norms?
This piece is about feminism. The person depicted in the artwork piece that I have produced cannot be perceived as to conform to female, or male, gendered stereotypes that has built the foundations of society.
However, the piece is a declaration to break these foundations as the best thing inside men is their femininity and vice versa the masculinity in women. This person is a representation of the harm that toxic masculinity can have on today’s society, and as a representation of everything people in the past have fought for, especially the likes of Emily Wilding Davison and Emmeline Pankhurst. This is a celebration of what gender can be and should be!.
